REVIEW – Meet my dog, Cooper. Cooper is a one-and-a-half-year-old French Bulldog. Since French Bulldogs often suffer from digestive, neck, and back problems, Cooper must have the correct type of food bowl. This means the bowl must be raised off the ground, and I prefer a slow feeder bowl to help with his digestion. The Trot Elevated Complete Pet Bowl Set caught my interest because it meets those needs and is of higher quality than his current setup.

Design and features

The Trot Elevated Complete Pet Bowl Set is available in ten different colors, three bowl sizes (small (1-2 cups), medium (2-3 cups), and large (3+ cups), and two stand heights, 3 and 6 inches. I chose the orange color, medium bowls, and 6-inch stand height.

Stainless steel bowls: The bowls are definitely made to last, and the orange color looks nice. Because the bowls are made from stainless steel, they are rustproof and have a lifetime warranty.

The food bowl is a slow-feed puzzle bowl, which aids your dog’s digestion and stimulates them mentally.

My favorite feature of the bowls is the magnets on the bottom that help to keep the bowls in place, reducing spills and mess.

The stainless steel bowls are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning and come with air-tight lids for traveling. 

No mess silicone mat: The silicone mat is made to catch small spills and avoid frequent clean-ups.

Raised stand: The stand is designed to minimize your dog’s need to bend down when eating and drinking. This is especially important in French Bulldogs and other flat-faced breeds, as they tend to have issues with choking. The raised stand also helps with posture and reduces strain on the neck and joints. It is made from sustainably grown dense bamboo and is very sturdy. It also has rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from sliding.

 Performance

I couldn’t be happier with the Trot Elevated Complete Pet Bowl Set; it’s exceptionally well-made and beautifully designed. Cooper has used a raised bowl since he was a pup, and the 6-inch height of the Trot stand is perfect for him. I wanted to see how he would do with the puzzle-style slow-feeding bowl. After some initial hesitation, he dug in, and it wasn’t an issue. Like many dogs, Cooper loves to gulp down his food, but the puzzle-style feeder did an excellent job slowing him down. It increased his mealtime by over ten minutes, and he experienced no issues with choking due to eating too quickly. Furthermore, I love how easy it is to clean the bowls and wipe down the silicone mat, which helps to keep his eating area tidy.
